For some low-fee token deposits, when you’re depositing our custodian will sweep, or otherwise move your digital assets into a shared trading account. This is to facilitate better, faster, and more accurate trading. When this happens, you may notice a small discrepancy in the amount you deposited as there is actually a separate on-chain transaction that occurs in the background that results in an additional transaction fee occurring.
Example: If you initiate a deposit of DOT to your ABRA wallet, those funds will originally be deposited into your Abra wallet’s address and the custodian may then sweep into their shared account for trading purposes. This is when you may incur a small additional fee that will be deducted from the secondary deposit. This results from a separate on-chain transaction and neither Abra nor our partner's profit from these fees.
