As Abra grows, so does our user base. With this growth comes users from all technical comfort levels. Due to this, our team is actively working on adding additional layers of security to the Abra app in an easy and accessible way.
Abra is proud to announce we've added a 2-Factor Authentication option to the Abra app. Once enabled, your 2FA code will be required each time a cryptocurrency withdrawal is initiated, a fiat withdrawal is initiated, when sending money to an Abra user or when viewing your recovery phrase.
- In order to use the 2FA feature, you must be Global KYC approved
How to Turn on 2FA
- Open the Abra app
- Tap: Menu button
- Tap: 'Wallet Security'
- Toggle the 2FA option to 'on'
- You will then see your QR code for your authenticator app
- Download the authenticator app of your choice
- Abra encourages our customers to install the authenticator app on a separate device
- Scan QR code
- Tap: 'Continue'
- Enter code

You will now see the 2FA has been toggled on along with the feature reflecting on your main menu under Wallet Security.
How to Turn Off 2FA:
- Open the Abra app
- Tap: Menu button
- Tap: 'Wallet Security'
- Toggle the 2FA option to 'off'
- Enter code to disable.
- As an alternative (lost access to your authenticator app) you can use your recovery phrase to disable 2FA
