Following Abra's latest update, you can now apply to be a part of the Abra Wire Program directly within the app.
Instead of requesting access to our Wire Program through our website, you can now complete the application process within the app. You will now be able to submit all the required documentation and information in-app in order to get approved.
-Please note, the Abra Wire Program is currently available to US-based customers who have a US-based bank account.
- Open your Abra app, to your portfolio view.
- Tap: 'Add Money' (now located at the bottom of your screen).
- Select: 'Bank wire transfer'
- Review the list of necessary requirements, tap 'Continue'
- Enter: 'First Name', 'Last Name', 'Email Address', 'Date of Birth', 'Address', 'Zip Code', and 'Social Security Number'.
- Photo1: Use your phone to take a photo of your government-issued ID
- Photo2: Use your phone to take a photo of yourself (a selfie) holding your government-issued ID
- Select: the Personal or Business/Corporate bank account you'd like to use
- Enter Bank account details: 'Account holders name', 'Wire routing number', 'Account number' (confirm your account number) and tap 'Submit'
You will be prompted to confirm your recovery phrase. It's imperative to save your recovery phrase in a safe place (write it down or keep a copy that is not on your phone). In the event, a phone is broken, stolen, lost or the app is deleted accidentally our company never has access to your funds or the associated recovery phrase.
Our team will reach out to you once we've had a chance to review your information and documents. Please note, this process may take 1-2 business days.
Additional information: If any of the information entered/provided is incorrect you will receive a notification within the Abra app to re-enter. If the information entered/provided is incorrect for the second time, you will receive a notification within the Abra app to check the email address you provided (an email with further instructions will be sent to you).

Please keep in mind, depositing via wires will still take place external to the Abra app via your bank (online banking portal or in person). Additionally, withdrawing funds via wires will still be done by sending within the Abra app (please see the wire instructions PDF for details).
