Beginning the onboarding process is easy and starts by going here: https://prime.abra.com/
The entire onboarding process is split into 3 easy steps.
- The first step is the Verification Process, which is covered in this FAQ.
- The second step is reading your contract and signing which is covered here.
- The last step is setting up your email, password and 2FA, which is covered here.
From https://prime.abra.com main page, you will tap the option 'Click here to register' if you do not have an account.
The next page will ask you how much you wish to invest.
- Followed by a page that will ask you to enter your email along with some other important questions.
Once you've answered the initial qualifying questions you will receive an onboarding email with a link to the onboarding portal.
Please note, the email address you enter is important as it will always link you back to where you left off in the process.
If you open the original onboarding email, click the onboarding portal link and enter your email address, this will take you right back to where you left off in the process.

The onboarding process will begin with our terms and services page, the hyperlink will allow you to read and review both sets of terms before hitting the 'continue' button.
The next set of screens will ask you to enter the following
- Your Date Of Birth
- Your Phone Number
- You will need to verify this number with an SMS code
- Legal Name
- Address
- SSN (if in the US)
Once you see this screen, you will scan the QR code with a smartphone and complete the next set of steps on that device.
You will need to take a new photo of the front and back of your Driver's License or the top and bottom of your Passport with your smartphone camera and submit this new photo, you cannot submit an already pre-existing photo.
All four corners of the document must be in the photo.
The photo must be well-lit.
The photo can not be blurry.
The ID/Passport must be valid.
When taking a selfie, your entire face must be in the frame and Plaid will need access to your camera to do so.

You will see the 'Successfully Verified' screen on both your smartphone and your desktop.
You will continue the onboarding process on your desktop by tapping the 'Finish' button. This will finish the Verification process and you can now read your contract and sign it.
