Sim Card Registration Act (Philippines)

The Sim Card Registration Act took effect December 27, 2022, and the deadline for registration of all sims will be April 26, 2023, in the Philippines.  The law requires all sim card users, postpaid and prepaid, to register SIM cards with their name, address, date of birth, and a photo of their ID and a selfie holding the ID card.

If you do not register your sim card you may not be able to access your Abra wallet on your device. In order to recover your wallet you should have your 13-word recovery phrase. Use Where can I find my recovery phrase? to ensure you have your recovery phrase if needed.
