At this time, Abra only natively supports withdrawing to Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin cash (BCH), Ethereum (ETH) addresses from the app. Meaning if you withdraw these cryptocurrencies you will incur a network fee from their network.
However, you can withdraw and to an altcoin address: (0x (ZRX), Augur (REP), Basic Attention Token (BAT), Dash (DASH), Digibyte (DGB), Doge (DOGE), Classic (ETC), Golem (GNT), Lisk (LSK), Monero (XMR), NEM (XEM), Neo (NEO), OmiseGo (OMG), Qtum (QTUM), XRP (XRP), Status (SNT), Stellar (XLM), Stratis (STRAT), Tron (TRN), Vertcoin (VTC), or Zcash (ZEC)) but network fees are different as we still do not natively support our altcoins yet.
Anytime a withdraw is done for an altcoin you will be charged a bitcoin network fee plus a Bittrex withdraw fee. As we do not natively support our altcoins at this time, they are still synthetic within the Abra app. When a withdraw is initiated for an altcoin the underlying currency is still bitcoin, thus you will be charged the bitcoin network fee. In the background, Abra is using Bittrex to exchange BTC for the altcoin you are withdrawing. Bittrex charges a withdrawal fee. Due to this, the Bittrex fee is passed to you the user.
You can still exchange any of your cryptocurrencies for bitcoin, litecoin, bitcoin cash, or Ether to withdraw those funds without incurring a Bittrex fee.
For example, if you wish to withdraw Ripple (XRP) from Abra, just tap the “Exchange” button in the app and follow instructions to exchange XRP for BTC, LTC, BCH, or ETH, then withdraw to a Bitcoin address, Litecoin address, Bitcoin cash or Ethereum address (or withdraw to your bank account).
In preparation for the migration EOS (EOS) and Bitcoin Gold (BTG) can no longer be withdrawn directly from the Abra app to an external wallet. However, you can still exchange these assets to any of our native coins and withdraw to an external wallet (BTC, LTC, ETH or BCH).
